The available options are described in the sections below.
-

Your settings are saved and the Home Page reopens.
The following options are available:
The following settings allow you to efficiently filter to the records that are most important to you.
-
Repair Center — Allows you to set a default Repair Center filter to remain in effect as you work in MC Express. An All Repair Centers option is also available.
Repair Center options are often hidden in MC Express if you only have access to one Repair Center.
-
Shop — Allows you to set a default Shop filter to remain in effect as you work in MC Express. An All Shops option is also available.
-
Stock Room — Allows you to set a default Stock Room to be in effect when working with parts. The default Stock Room will be set by default when you add a part to a work order, and when you use many of the available part features, such as Count Inventory, Part Checkout, and Transfer Part.
This filter allows you to more quickly use each of these features as the Stock Room only needs to be specified if a different Stock Room is used.
The following settings impact how work orders are displayed in MC Express:
-
Default Order for the Work Order List — The value by which the Work Order List should be sorted. This order can be changed while working in MC Express, but this setting provides a default order for the initial display of the list.
Example values include Target Date, Priority, and Work Order ID.
-
Display Custom Work Order Filters — If your organization is configured to use Custom Work Order Filters, a row for Custom displays as the last option on the Work Order section of the Home Page. Opening the Custom option displays any custom filters predefined by your organization.
These filters are defined in the full Maintenance Connection application (MRO). If the filters that are displayed are not valuable to you, you can hide them using this preference. For more information on Custom Work Order Filters, contact your System Administrator.
-
Display SQL on Custom Work Order List — If your organization is configured to use Custom Work Order Filters, a row for Custom displays as the last option on the Work Order Section of the Home Page. Opening the Custom option displays any custom filters predefined by your organization.
If this option is available to you and you would like to understand the logic behind the filter, you can enable this setting using the Display SQL on Custom Work Order List option. With this setting set to Yes, a line displays directly below the filter name, showing the actual SQL that is used to build the filter.
The following settings impact how dates and time are displayed in MC Express:
-
My Time Zone — Allows you to specify your time zone so that time display can be adjusted for you. When this is properly set, all time displayed in the system is adjusted by the difference between your time zone and the time zone where the data is stored (where the server resides).
For example, if you are two hours ahead of the server, a work order completed at 10:00AM your time will actually be stored in the data as 8:00AM. But whenever you look at the work order, this time will properly display as 10:00AM.
-
Date Format — Allows you to specify a date format appropriate for your region. All dates in the system are presented based on the chosen format. The Date Format also determines the format for numeric displays. This allows you to enter numbers with the appropriate decimal and comma symbols for your region.
