Create a New Tool Room
To create a new tool room:

Choose between two options:

Click the down arrow next to the New button.

Select File > New > Select from the Main Menu.
The Module menu opens.

Select Tool Room from the menu.
The Tool Room Details page opens.

Enter an ID for the new record in the Tool Room ID field.
The ID must be unique. If you enter an ID that is already in use, you will be prompted to correct this when you attempt to save the new record.
Tools and tool rooms are maintained in the same file / table. Tools and tool rooms cannot have the same ID.

Enter a more descriptive name for the tool room in the Name field.
The name does not need to be unique. The ID and Name fields are both displayed in the Tool Room module list.

Select the repair center this tool room should be associated with from the Repair Center field.
This field defaults to the repair center of the logged in user.

Select the supervisor of this tool room from the Supervisor field.
This field defaults to the currently logged in user.

Select the account with which the tool room should be associated from the Account field.

Enter the address information and contact information for the tool room in the available fields.

Choose between two options:

Select the Active check box if this tool room should be active.

Clear the Active check box if the record is inactive to ensure that the record does not show up in Tool Room lookups.
The tool room record will continue to be available in the Tool Room module list.

Enter the email address and SMS email address in the appropriate fields.
These email addresses can be used in the Rules Manager.

Enter any additional comments about the tool room in the Comments field.
Click the View / Edit Text button
at the top-right corner of the field to open a larger editing area.

If necessary, follow these procedures to attach a photo to this tool room record.

Click the Save button.
Your changes are saved.
