Schedule a Monthly Recurrence

To define a schedule that occurs on a monthly basis, or every "x" months:

  1. Access the Schedule Sub-tab.

  2. Select the Time Based or Meter Based Schedule (one or the other) option button.

If the schedule is to be generated either by time or meter (whichever comes first), see the section on scheduling a time and meter based recurrence.

  3. Select the Monthly option button.

  4. Choose between three options:

    • To generate work orders once every X months:

      1. Select the first option button.

      2. Select the monthly frequency from the field.

For example, to generate work orders every other month (every 2 months), enter "2" as the frequency.

    • To generate work orders on a specific date of the month:

      1. Select the second option button.

      2. Select the date of the month from the first field.

      3. Select the monthly frequency from the second field.

For example, to generate work orders the 1st of every quarter, you would enter "1st" for the day of the month, and "3" for the monthly frequency.

    • To generate work orders on a specific day of the week every X months:

      1. Select the third option button.

      2. Select the week of the month—for example, the first or last week—from the first field.

      3. Select the day of the week from the second field.

      4. Select the monthly frequency from the third field.

For example, to generate work orders on the last Monday of each month, you would enter "last", "Monday" and "1" for the frequency.

  5. Choose between two options:

    • Select the Use the Work Order Completed Date when calculating the next schedule date check box to calculate the next scheduled date based on the date the last work order was completed.

    • Leave the check box clear to ensure that work orders get generated each day (or each "x" days), regardless of when the last work order generated for this schedule was completed.

  6. If you selected the check box in the previous step, select the status the work order should have before calculating the next schedule date from the Set this when the Work Order is field.

  7. If start / end parameters need to be defined or modified, access the Start / End Sub-tab.

  8. Click the Save button.
