Delete Work Order

If a work order has been created in error, it can be deleted. Deleting a work order permanently removes the record from Maintenance Connection. The feature should not be used to close out a work order or show that it has been rejected or denied. The feature is commonly used only when a work order has been created in error (such as a duplicate).

Note:

You must be a member of an access group with permission to delete work orders to process a deletion.

ClosedDelete a Work Order

To delete a work order:

  1. Access the work order you want to delete.

  2. Ensure you are on the Details, Tasks, Costs, or Docs / Images page.

  3. Click the Delete button.

A dialog box opens, asking you to confirm your choice.

If your system has been set up to prompt for a delete password confirmation, you are prompted to enter a password before being allowed to delete.
