View / Modify Work Orders

The Work Order module stores considerable data on each work order, accessed through the tabs displayed on the top of the Work Center.As each tab is selected, the data corresponding to that type of information is displayed.On many pages accessed through a tab selection, additional sub-pages are accessible by clicking the sub-tabs.

To access a work order for viewing or modifying:

  1. Use the Work Order List to select the record to be viewed or modified.

    The data corresponding to the selected record will be displayed in the Work Center, and the Work Order ID will be listed in the Work Center header.If this is the first record accessed in this module, the default Details tab will be displayed.In contrast, if you were previously viewing another record in this module, the displayed page will not change.

    If this work order is associated with a pre-defined group of work orders, there will be an indication in the Work Center header.Immediately following the Work Order ID, the group status will be displayed (Attached to a Group, Master Work Order in Group, or Attached to a Master Work Order in Group).When working with grouped work orders, is important to understand the special behaviors associated with them.For further information, see Manage Groups of Work Orders.

    If this work order has defined dependencies based on a project plan definition, these will be displayed in the header bar.

  2. Click the tabs and sub-tabs to navigate through the record.

  3. Make your changes.

  4. Click the Save button.

    Your changes are saved.
