Chart Examples

There are three Chart sub-tabs available from the Chart / KPI tab that allow you to define charts to display on your report. Refer to the section on creating / editing charts for specific instructions on chart definition. Refer to the Advanced Tips section for an example of creating a more complex, multi-series chart.

The following sections contain some examples of chart definitions. The chart definition for the displayed chart is listed directly below the example.

ClosedBar Charts

This section provides examples of a bar chart and a flash bar chart.

ClosedBar Chart

This bar chart compares work order costs by repair center.

Bar Chart: WO Costs by Repair Center.

Configuration

  • Chart Type / Format — Bar Chart

  • Chart Size / Position — Small

  • Chart By — [WO] Repair Center ID

  • Chart Function — Sum

  • Chart Function For — [WO] Cost Total Actual

  • Chart Name — WO Costs by Repair Center

ClosedFlash Bar Chart

This flash bar chart lists work order counts by type of work order.

Flash bar chart: Work order counts by type of work order.

  • Chart Type / Format — Bar Chart (Flash)

  • Chart Size / Position — Large / Top

  • Chart By — [WO] Type Desc

  • Chart Function — Count

  • Chart Function For — None

  • Chart Name — Work Order Type

ClosedPie Charts

This pie chart shows the work order count by shop.

Pie Chart: Current Month Work Order Count by Shop.

  • Chart Type / Format — Pie Chart

  • Chart Size / Position — Small

  • Chart By — [WO] Shop Name

  • Chart Function — Count

  • Chart Function For — None

ClosedArea Charts

This area chart displays assigned labor hours by technician.

Area chart: Assigned Labor Hours by technician.

  • Chart Size / Position — Medium

  • Chart By — [Labor] Labor Name

  • Chart Function — Sum

  • Chart Function For — [WO] Target Hours

  • Chart Name — Assigned Labor Hours

ClosedLine Chart

This line chart displays average target work hours per asset classification.
