Import Registration Information
The installation and updating information in this topic do not apply to EMS Cloud Services customers. Learn more about the installation and updating of EMS software with Cloud Services.
The first time that your EMS application is accessed at your organization, a Registration dialog opens. You must import the license file (License.lic) that was received with the software to register your software. You can change the database that your EMS system is using.
If you need to make any corrections to your registration information, contact EMS_Sales@accruent.com or 800-288-7893 to have a license file with the corrected registration information sent to you. You can then import this license file to update the registration information.
- On the EMS menu bar, click System Administration > Settings > Registration.
This Registration dialog displays the registration information contained in the license file: your organization’s name and address, the EMS edition (Workplace, Enterprise, and so on), the license expiration date, the limits for your software edition, and any additional packages for which your organization is licensed (for example, EMS Web App).
- If the registration information is correct, continue to Step 2.
- If the information is not correct, contact EMS_Sales@accruent.com to have a corrected license file sent to you.
- To import your registration information, click Import.
- In the Open File dialog, browse to and select the license file (License.lic) that you are importing and click Open.
The License file imports.
- If you need to change the database that your EMS application is using, go to Step 4. Otherwise, click OK.
Your EMS application is now registered and ready for use.
- To change databases, click Change Database.
The Provide Server Parameters dialog opens.
- Edit the server name and/or database name, and then click OK.
You can now log in to EMS using the newly specified database.
