EMS Flex Navigation

Let’s look at EMS Flex navigation.

The top menu includes view settings and user preferences.

  • Primary navigation – toggles the left navigation pane on or off
    The panel includes the main menu items for Spaces & rooms, Configuration, and Administration options.

  • Help – access the help documentation

  • Preferences – sets your default for filters and other options

The Filters menu (across the top) includes:

  • List – Show or hide a list of desks or rooms in the left panel. If the list shows, you can select a space from the list or floor plan. If the list is hidden, you select a space from the floor plan. If Show neighborhoods is on, then desks display categorized within the corresponding neighborhood.

  • Spaces or Rooms – Select which one you prefer to view in the left panel and floor plan.

  • Dates – Select one or more booking dates up to 10 weekdays in the future. Date selection shows the Monday to Friday work week. Use the left and right arrows to view the next week or go back to the current week. For example, if today is Thursday February 9, you can view dates through Wednesday, February 22.

  • My bookings – Shows a list of your bookings up to 10 days in the future. You can also delete any booking from the list.

  • Find people – Find and view other people’s bookings if they turned on Preferences > Show in Find People.

  • Fast book – Creates a booking based on your preferences and the date and time you selected. Fast book chooses a space based on availability.

  • Book time – Select from predefined booking times. You can also select a different start and end time.

  • Building – Select a building. The time zone corresponds to the building’s time zone.

  • Floor – Select a floor within the building.

  • Type – Select the type of space to book, like a room, desk, or media space.

  • Show neighborhoods – Identifies spaces within neighborhoods if you want to collaborate with a team. Neighborhoods are set up by your administrator.

The floor plan in the center pane shows available spaces based on your filter selections. The legend above the floor plan explains the icons on the floor plan.

  • Unavailable – the space is booked by another person

  • Teammate – when you search for another person’s bookings, their booked space shows on the floor plan

  • Available – you can book the space

  • My booking – the space is booked by you
