EMS Web App
Build #223.3.0.97
EMS-17741
Users can now click custom links in the WebApp without encountering session errors or access denial messages.
Custom links now open correctly, displaying the intended booking page for the selected building.
User sessions remain active regardless of navigating through custom links.
Action: Clear the WebApp cache, update to the latest version, and verify the fix by using custom links.
EMS-17759
Rooms with identical booking sequence numbers now display in alphanumeric order when the Sequence of Available Rooms upon Search parameter is set to Book Sequence.
This update restores the intuitive and user-friendly display of rooms in alphabetical order, aligning with user expectations and previous system behavior.
EMS-19122
Room signs will no longer display contact information from a previous reservation when the current reservation has no contact assigned. This ensures that each reservation's details are accurately presented, avoiding confusion for service teams and users.
When viewing reservation details on a room sign, if there is no first contact set for the reservation, the display will now correctly indicate that there is no contact, instead of erroneously showing the contact from a prior reservation.
EMS-19358
Adding new attendees to an existing service order in the Web App no longer triggers automatic check-in for previously added attendees.
Attendees can now be added without affecting check-in status. Manual check-in functionality remains intact within the Desktop Client.
EMS-19396
The Web App now correctly restricts room selection during availability searches when setup and teardown times overlap.
EMS-19451
The Web App now displays the correct confirmation message stating that a booking is canceled when an approver cancels a request in the Approvals section.
EMS-19877
The Web App now includes a validation check that prevents room searches for past dates. If a user enters a date that has already passed, the system will display an alert in red text and will not execute the availability search.
This update ensures that users are prompted to select future dates for bookings, in line with booking rules, and avoids the creation of reservations with unintended dates.
EMS-19908
Editing a booking to change rooms within the Web App's List View, Schedule View, and Floor Plan now successfully saves and reflects the updates.
EMS-20098
Users with EMS Native credentials can now successfully pass the captcha and change their password without encountering a 401 - Unauthorized error.
EMS-20149
Unauthenticated users can now view the availability of rooms in the Web App, as permitted by the unauthenticated security template settings.
EMS-20269
Users joining a Teams-enabled meeting from either the Web App or Outlook will now be directed to the same Teams meeting, ensuring all participants are connected to the correct session.
This update resolves the issue where separate Teams meetings were launched for the same reservation, streamlining the process and unifying the meeting experience.
Desktop Client
Build #223.3.0.38
EMS-1072
We enhanced the Automated Report functionality for the Event Calendar. Now, when the Monthly Calendar Report is set to be sent as an automated report, it will include the same timeframe and results as if the report were run manually within the Desktop Client. This update ensures that you can schedule resources effectively by providing a comprehensive multi-month view, aligning with the manual report's capabilities.
Note to Users:
Please ensure your systems are updated to the latest version to take advantage of this improved functionality.
EMS-13563
The Notification Rule configuration has been corrected with the following outcomes:
When a notification rule is set to email the Event Coordinator, only the designated Event Coordinator will receive the email.
If the rule is configured to email exclusively the Event Coordinator, the Group associated with the Reservation will not receive an email.
In the absence of an assigned Event Coordinator and the notification rule is set to send emails only to the Event Coordinator, no email will be dispatched.
This fix ensures that email notifications are sent accurately as per the configured rules, enhancing the reliability of communication, and reducing potential confusion among meeting hosts and groups.
Action Required: Users are advised to update to the latest version to benefit from this fix.
EMS-18119
The delete button is now visible on the attachments tab within the Edit Room Window (room configuration) if there are attachments present.
EMS-19514
Enhancement: To accommodate secure email transmission requirements, we've introduced distinct SSL configuration parameters for the Desktop Client (DTC) and Web Applications within the system settings.
Details: Desktop Client users can now configure their emails to relay through a local SMTP server requiring SSL, ensuring secure email dispatch from the Desktop Client. Simultaneously, Web App confirmations can be sent through the Cloud SMTP service, which does not require SSL.
Previous Behavior: There was a single shared parameter for SSL usage across both DTC and Web App email settings, leading to configuration conflicts between secure and non-secure SMTP servers.
New Functionality: Two separate parameters are now available in the DTC under System Administration > Settings > Parameters > Desktop > Email. One parameter controls SSL usage for the Web Applications, and the other for the Desktop Client, allowing for independent SSL configuration.
EMS-19971
The latest release for EMS addresses a critical issue encountered by users when adding comments to reservations. This fix ensures a smoother and error-free experience when recording additional information on both reservation and booking comments.
EMS-20238
With the implemented fix, when an Outlook-enabled reservation for an ERI room is edited in the EMS Desktop Client to switch to a different ERI room, this change is now accurately reflected in the Outlook meeting details.
This synchronization ensures consistency between EMS room bookings and Outlook calendar details, thereby improving coordination and communication regarding meeting room allocations.
EMS for Outlook
Build # 223.3.0.18
EMS-20063
Delegates can now successfully edit and cancel meetings using the EMS for Outlook add-in on shared calendars where they have delegate permissions.
The fix will be included in versions 223.2.1, 223.2.2, and master (223.3.0).
EMS-20081
Single events can now be successfully converted to recurring events without error messages, even when recurrences are skipped due to room scheduling conflicts.
EMS-20120
Adding an ERI room to a recurring meeting in Outlook via the Add-In now triggers EMSID creation, ensuring proper booking tracking.
Action: Update to the latest EMS for Outlook Add-In version for this functionality.
EMS-20141
Modification of recurring events with conflicts now updates correctly without triggering violation errors.
Action: Apply the latest update to enable this fix.
EMS-20187
Unrelated delegate error messages are now suppressed when updating Outlook meetings with EMS IDs.
Action: Update to the latest EMS for Outlook version.
EMS-20144
Reservations created using the Outlook 365 web add-in now appear on the EMS Desktop Client dashboard as expected.
Action: Verify the update by creating a reservation with the Outlook web add-in and checking its presence on the Desktop Client dashboard.
EMS Platform Services
Build #223.3.0.32
EMS-16080
A new registry key has been implemented to address the issue where clients, after logging in via SAML, could not view rooms due to LDAP web process template assignment errors. The registry key correctly identifies the LDAP property to generate the GroupID, ensuring successful room searches and reservation completions.
Details:
• The registry key is configurable on the LDAP configuration page.
• The default registry value is set to blank.
• Updates have been rolled out to the WebApp, Platform, and Desktop Client.
Action: Update to the latest versions of the WebApp, Platform, and Desktop Client.
EMS-18340
Reservations made by Everyday Users through Direct Spaces now correctly appear in the Everyday User Reservations tab on the Dashboard within the EMS Desktop Client, allowing EMS Administrators to process these meetings effectively.
This fix ensures transparency and administrative awareness of all meetings booked via Direct Spaces, bridging the gap between user entries and administrative oversight.
Note: Reservations made using custom integration clients, as opposed to the system-supplied Direct Spaces Client, will not be displayed in the Dashboard.
EMS-19636
The Search Room Bookings function now adheres to the includeComponentRooms parameter settings, ensuring that component rooms are excluded from results when this parameter is set to false, and included when set to true.
Outcome:
Bookings for combo rooms or component rooms are no longer duplicated in EMS Kiosk.
The Platform Search Bookings Endpoint accurately reflects bookings based on the includeComponentRooms flag status.
EMS-20096
The Platform API now fully recognizes all list items for User Defined Fields (UDFs) with Field Type: List, allowing for successful retrieval and updates beyond the initial 50 items.
Outcome:
The GET UserDefinedFields call returns all list items configured for a UDF, not just the first 50.
The PATCH UserDefinedFields call successfully updates the reservation with any list item selection, regardless of its position in the list.
Action: Update to the latest version to ensure full functionality of UDFs within the Platform API.
EMS-20140
We introduced configurable registry key for LDAP GroupID generation and updated the WebApp, Platform, and Desktop Client to support enhanced LDAP integration.
Outcome:
Seamless room search and booking in WebApp and Desktop Client using LDAP-assigned templates.
Complete LDAP group retrieval and inclusion of process templates in authentication results.
Action: Update to the latest versions and configure the registry key via the LDAP settings.
EMS Web Services
Build #223.3.0.38
EMS-16501
Indicators on floor plans now maintain their relative positions when zoom levels are changed in both the Desktop Client's Floor Plan Configuration tool and the EMS Web App.
EMS-20273
EMS now correctly assigns the booking group record to the Everyday User's group when creating a native Outlook booking with two-way Exchange Resource Integration (ERI).
Outcome: When a matching group record is found for the Everyday User, it is automatically associated with the reservation. If no matching group record is found, the reservation is assigned to the default two-way sync group.
EMS Master Calendar
Build #223.3.0.14
EMS-19635
Master Calendar now retains formatted text without exposing HTML code when editing event descriptions imported via the EMS data connector.
EMS Kiosk
Build #223.3.0.8
EMS-19063
The Kiosk API component has been successfully upgraded to .NET 7, addressing previous issues with HttpHeaders thread safety and invalid value handling. This upgrade mitigates the index out-of-range errors experienced during API calls.
Kiosk now operates reliably on .NET 7, independent of older .NET Core versions, ensuring consistent performance even under high load conditions.
EMS-20094
The EMS Kiosk interface has been updated to allow full visibility and access to all floor options when filtering available rooms, eliminating any overlay obstruction and ensuring users can select from the complete list of floors.
Users can now seamlessly choose any floor in the All Floors view without interface elements hindering their selection, enhancing the room booking experience in the EMS Kiosk.
